The whole decoration was made on a building at the side of Nanwan Lake in Macau. The decoration extended across 15 floors, with a dimension of 117 X 53M, which was the largest lighting decoration for the Handover celebration in Macau. The construction of the whole decoration project, form designing, to manufacturing, to installing, took around 3 months.

The whole decoration was composed of 20,000M of Instant Flexilight and 1,500 pieces of iron grid. The design was separated into pieces and made on each grid. The grids were then lifted and fixed on the exterior of the building with wires. By this method, the 1,500 pieces of grids were assembled on the building to regenerate the design like a puzzle.

Since 20th December 1999, Macau becomes a special administrative region of China. It has its own emblem representing the region and the emblem was the focus of the decoration's design. At the side of the emblem was the event mascot - swallow and the logo of the Handover celebration event. On the left and right of the design were the blessing words "Celebrate for the Handover, Best wishes for the bright future", which conveyed the joy of the people and delivered the best wished to Macau's future.

With the heritage of the success of the Hong Kong Handover Golden Dragon in 1997, we successfully completed a symbolic lighting decoration for the reunification of Macau to China in 1999. In the project, Wide Loyal was responsible for the design, supply of Flexilight and production of the grid assembling parts.

The reliable quality of Flexilight, our experience in large scale lighting projects, together with the strong support from local authority and contractors, were the keys to the unprecedented success of this project. It is our great honor that we can participate in these two remarkable events of this century.
